ABOUT ME

Dai is a recently retired track and field athlete who specialised in the 400m hurdles and has represented Wales and Great Britain at the highest level. His main achievements on track in the sport have been:

  • World Champion 2011 - 400h

  • Commonwealth Games Champion 2010 - 400h

  • European Champion 2010 - 400h

  • 2x Olympic finalist 2012 - 400h and 4x400m

  • Silver World Champs 2009 - 4x400m

As well as these achievements on the track, Dai has been captain of the Great Britain athletics team on 3 occasions, most notably at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

In his youth Dai played many different sports before settling for athletics. He was a keen footballer, playing for Swansea City FC academy until he was 17. It was in his university days that he fell in love with athletics. Despite having epilepsy since the age of 17, he has not let this hold him back in achieving his goals and dreams within the sporting world.
